CP3 question

Let's see now...I haven't seen my CP3 manual for ages but I think I remember:

Set the level upward manually until there is clipping and then switch to auto. The level will be automatically kicked down. Take that new level as your manual setting (or maybe a dB higher) and then switch back to auto and leave it alone.

I hope that I'm remembering correctly. This is about right for the DC-1 as well.

Rear speakers standard? Set it to standard. Actually I think you're talking about the sides, right?

By the way folks...remember the CP 1,2,3 series? The CP-2 was not something anyone who owned a CP-1 would have wanted. I wonder whether the DC series will follow suit, in which case better start saving for the DC-3!
