Tough call. No details are available regarding the DC-2 or its timeframe.

In a recent post, Buzz mentioned that new products are announced at major shows. Since this didn't happen in New Orleans, the product most likely wasn't ready for market. The next major show will be early next year, and usually shipping lags behind product announcement.

So you're looking at sometime next year in all probablility. Plus we don't know if this is a replacement for the DC-1 or an upmarket companion unit.

So it depends on how long you want to wait. Alternatively, you can use the info about the impending DC-2 to negotiate the price down on any DC-1 you're contemplating. I'd shop around because I think you can get a better price--that way you won't regret your purchase if and when the DC-2 comes out.
