DC-2 "Hope List" Posted by Brent Sim on October 01, 1998 at 06:46:13: In Reply to: DC-2 posted by Mike Miller on September 30, 1998 at 23:11:44: Since the development of Dolby, AC3 and DTS decoding is to a large extent done via the DC-1 and other process manufacturers (yes I know there is always room for improvement), I would hope that the major devlopments would be in the arena of more or improved features (such as bass management and equalizers), better connectivity ( a better assumption of the role of a preamplifier, phono inputs, tape loops etc.) and some finish improvements (such as a glass panel that does not scratch when you look at it and perhaps a more modern display). With the combination of ever increasing price / performance ratio of electronic components and IMHO lower development costs, I would expect no increase in price and perhaps a lower price for the Lexicon processor.
