Thanks Daniel (and everyone) for your prompt and informed info. One of the primary questions went unanswered, i.e. do all decoders (a small list, I concede) handle the "spit" sound the same way? I guess if I'm going to have an evening of DTS listening, I'll go into the setup screen and assign DTS to the input I am using. Does that eliminate the "spit" completely? What would I hear if I forget to return the input to "Automatic" and plop in a Dolby Digital movie? And why do we lose audio completely when reverse scanning a CD? If we can't have audio, shouldn't the DC1 mute the white noise that comes rushing out? Thanks again for all your comments and for welcoming me to the forum? (anyone wanna buy a CP1Plus?)
