I am not so sure that a space is being made on the shelf for the DC-1 however - other than, basically, software improvements that could easily be made through "upgrades/new releases" for the DC-1, what other "new" technology is resolved at this point justifiying the introduction of a totally new model and abandonment of the old (DC-1)? It would seem that you couldn't sell upgradeability alone as a product feature when there is nothing that pressing on the horizon. When nothing truly "new" can be selling point I don't see that manufacturers have any choice but to present improvements to existing products and, in this case, perhaps an "elite" model of that existing product. I would imagine that Lexicon reps are enjoying our speculation on these issues and will surprise us all with the DC-2 introduction.
