I'm not maintaining the DC-1 is "king of the hill" in the $3.5-5K price range. I was specifically disagreeing with the statement that it "doesn't hold up."

I think at a street price of $3.5K, even the current DC-1 is still competitive with other units by virtue of the proprietary surround processing that only Lexicon provides. It depends which advantages of the different units out there provides the best fit for a buyer's priorities.

I was trying to encourage buyers to match features as well as price to their priorities in considering the alternatives out there, not to accept a blanket generalization about one particular product "not holding up."
