:I figure my 1 year old DC-1 has a market value of about $1500. That stinks!

Actually, in electronics that's not bad.
You're low in that estimate anyhow.

This 65% depreciation is the fault of pee-poor marketing strategy on the part of Lexicon. They announce a new product, devalue the old product and then delay the new product's release date by months...

Huh?
We anounced the DC-2 last month. And shipped it then.
We announced we'd ship the MC-1 next month and will do that.
We're providing multiple upgrade options to all DC-1 owners.
We will offer substantially above the fair market value of a DC-1 if people feel they would like to trade up to the MC-1.

:Personally, I would rather have a Meridian 561 or even their 861. Those products are completely upgradable in the future. The MC-1 is clearly not.

You're mistaken in your assumptions. And you'd be in for a very rude awakening if you expect Meridian (or any other company I'm aware of) to offer the upgrade and trade in programs we have consistently implemented. Ask a Meridan 565 owner what was done for them when the 561 supersceded it.
And what makes you state the MC-1 is "clearly not" upgradeable?
Have you spent alot of time analyzing the circuitry?
Frankly, you are making statements that I find somewhat offensive as they are stated as fact when they are quite incorrect. We have done alot for our customers historically and intend to continue to. These are viewable actions and achievements, not empty promises of "future upgrades".
