Will my DC-1 run OK from a transformer?

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 95):

I am moving to Germany and taking my HT system with me. I would like to know if my DC-1 will run OK from a step-down transformer? I have the DD/THX/DTS version, but currently do not have the fan. Would I be able to put the fan motor in if desired? I know that motors run slower on the 50Hz power, but does the DC-1 (or all CE devices for that matter?) convert the electricity to DC for use inside the unit?
