Will my DC-1 run OK from a transformer?

Mark,

Good news, your DC-1 has a widerange switchmode power supply that can work directly off the mains in Germany. You just need to get the correct power cord which should be an off the shelf item.

Also the fan internal to the DC-1 runs off the DC pre-regulated voltage from the power supply.

The DC-1 power supply also doesn't care about the mains frequency of 50 or 60Hz.

You may not be so lucky with some of your other equipment that you purchased in the USA.

Oh yeah one more thing, their broadcasts are in PAL so your TV set won't be able to be used (unless it is an International model) except with pre-recorded material from the US.
