I agree with you. I can't even use the video switching as I am running component video anyway. I also only bought mine less than a year ago, and I didn't even hook it up till after Christmas when I got my amps. So according to my serial number I DO have the new DAC's. My DC-1 sounds super to me anyway. So if want to spend that much for a new remote, which is all I'm really getting. I'll put the money toward a 700T remote!
