As Andre said, non-parallel walls do not eliminate room modes. Slightly angled walls can help reduce flutter echo. Non-parallel walls still have very strong room modes, but they can't be easily calculated. See F. Alton Everest's "Master Handbook of Acoustics" for more info. He has a diagram of a room with non-parallel walls that show the room modes, they are strong but were not predictable. See the thread below on room resonances, you can get a spreadsheet for calculating modes and helping get a good ratio of dimensions. Hope this helps, - kent h
