Not to discourage your generosity, but you might not be aware the old DC-1 remote can serve as a Zone2 controller for main functions like source select, volume and effect select.

It can come in handy if you set up a second zone with some sort of repeater device that will relay your commands to the front room. Of course, you can always use a learning remote for this too.

Let us know your impressions of the new software on a DC-1!
