Help me decide on Lexicon

Shawn is correct, this will bypass the A/D and D/A stages. However, note that you will either need:

- separate amp and speakers to play the Zone 2 output

- some sort of outboard A/B switch to select which DC-1 signal (main or zone2) gets fed to your front channel amp/speakers. In my experience, commercial switchers degrade signal below any gains from bypassing the digital processing. High-quality options for this are complicated and expensive--some folks just use separate systems for analog.
