Room Acoustics

The room has exceptionally smooth response, but I agree with the other respondents: the same results could have been achieved with careful calculation of room size, even with parallel surfaces. The room is 50 feet from the Santa Fe mainline, yet I hear no train noise. I used double solid core doors to the outside, and double double windows (which are small). Carefully built interior walls with 2x6 studs, however, vibrate anytime there is a significant base note (Exterior walls are 12" of adobe. I recommend those, if you can afford this kind of construction)
