Will DCs or MC-1 work w/DVD-Audio???

I think Lexicon will utilize the existing rear surround outs, probably extracting and sending the matrixed sixth channel in mono to both rears and letting the user reconfigure for a single connected center rear if they want to take a step back in sound quality ;). This would be easy to implement in software. Adding an additional rear channel output means expensive re-engineering on a piece of hardware that's no longer in production--without much in the way of a benefit. If folks really wanted 8 channels, they could y-split the Lex rear output (which have already extracted the matrixed rear signal) and route them to a pot and some kind of monoblock to drive a rear center. I think this would pose problems for the mix, but it could be done. In any case, Lexicon owners are uniquely positioned for support for Surround EX--5-channel processors can't be upgraded, so owners will be looking at some kind of additional decode to run on the surround channels. And if they're using recievers without pre-outs, they're out of luck. Cheers,
