I can't see where you disagree with my statment you just expanded on what I said but I have never seen a 700t that is not RF I have never seen the IR version but I am sure it exsists, I will take your word for it. Cost is an issue with remote controls Most people will not spend the money for touch screens they are cool but unneasary this is not my position but if you ask most people they will tell you this, Note the boon in the sales of the marantz and the current run on prontos and their clones,so your assersion that it only costs a few hundered more, is more that most people budgets. an ST-IO or an ST PC unit that you mention is in the $400 area and these are just add ons,two of them 800 um,and you have not bought the unit yet.Do the math better equipment or control Thats why when some one gets one used I would encourge him to use, as is and apreciate what he has got not try and make him feel inadiqute with what he has got. Warts and all 500t is a great unit shame about the price but if you have ever lost a remote down the back of the sofa you would apreciate owning one even if it did not have the conectivity of the Crestron. It was not my intention to be misleading and as far as I can see I was not. Robert J
