Alan,

I normally use a McCormack Micro Integrated Drive off the Zone-2 output. This gives you remote volume control of your headphones too which is nice. I run either Grado '60s or Entoymotic Research ER4Ss off that amp.

Another set of 'phones to check out at about $500 is Koss ESP-950s... they are electrostatic and come with the needed headphone amp at that price. I've got a pair of these and they are stunning. The offer NO outside noise blocking though.
