Exactly… "sort of". ;-) Dolby Digital EX in theatres with rear arrays split down the middle along the rear wall will change the layout so that all the loudspeakers along the rear wall are Centre Surround. The "rear" channels as we erroneously call them will be produced by the side arrays only. I say erroneous as they're actually called Surround Left and Surround Right - "rear" is a home theatre term.
