Component switching and balanced inputs

Has anyone had a chance to evaluate the new Carver pre/processor? It has component switching and balanced outputs(and a $3000 price). For my purposes these are not necessary and I enjoy my DC-1 (and the great support we get from Lex) but there have been a lot of questions on the forum of late about the difficulty implementing these items.
