Hi Shawn,

I think that is a good idea, however I have not been happy with the commercial implementations I have seen. Often the grounding wire is a thin wire that will become inductive at RF, and then I have to wonder how much they thought about it because the ads then claim stuff about shunting RF away.

Another thing to be careful about is that even if you do use such an interconnect, such a grounding scheme must be implemented completely throughout your system, otherwise it will not be effective. One thing that makes this difficult is the various ways one can ground an unbalanced system, most of which will negate the use of such an interconnect.

Another concern is finding a suitable spot on the chassis to which you can attach the grounding lead. Often aluminum chassis are anodized, which makes them non-conductive on the surface, so you need to undo some screws and screw the lead down with some kind of toothed washer that will bite through to the conductive chassis.
