DC-1 to DC-2 question

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows NT):

Hi,

I have a DC-1 THX model which I have for almost 9 months. I was wondering if I should upgrade it to DD or even DTS or whether I should attempt to trade it for a DC-2 (whatever best deal I can get from my dealer).

So my questions are,

1. What is the cost of upgrading DC-1 THX to DD(V3.0) or DD/DTS(V3.0) ?

The lexicon site still shows it as $1500 for THX to DD. That also does not include V3.0, I believe.

2. Is the upgrade of the DC-1 (THX to DD V3.0) comparable to paying the difference (between the DC2 DD price and the DC-1 tread-in price) towards DC-2 DD ?

3. Are DC-1 (V3.0) and DC-2 sonically similar ?

4. Hardwarewise I believe there is a major change in architecutre of the two. What are the benefits of that ?

I do not care much about number of inputs/outputs right now as I do not have a lot of inputs/ouputs or I won't have them in near future either.

Please help me decide on this. Your feedback is really appreiciated.
