The CP-2 is Lexicon's pro-logic only version of the CP-1 (which also had DSP modes). It is a first generation unit, where the technology has been vastly improved, and it isn't upgradeable. Nevertheless, it was very good in its day and will still do a better job of decoding Dolby Surround than the decoder built into most current A/V receivers. I think that it listed for $699 in the late 80's. If you wanted a plain vanilla DS decoder, it might be worth getting, but I wouldn't pay more than $100 -150 tops.
