Rear Spekers- Configure as Rears or Sides?

Using Mozilla/4.51 [en] (Win98; U):

Ok- I have a MC-1 and my setup doesnt allow for speakers on the sides of my couch- the rear speakers are direct radiators (rock solids that go down to ~70hz) and they are mounted high on the wall behind the couch. Right now the rears are configured as rears and the MC-1 is configured for no sides.

Overall Im really happy with the performance of the system but Im curious - would I get something a little extra if I treated the rears I have as sides? Would the 5 speaker enhance then add something in this configuration?
