My experience with upgrading my DC-1 to the MC-1 was very rewarding. Now to answer your questions.

1)Are you satified with the performance of the MC-1? - Yes, very much.

2)For those who traded up from a DC-1. In your experience has it been a worthwhile upgrade? Sonic benefit cearly worth the added cost ($2,500)? - To me personally, yes.

3)Any major dissapointments? If you had known of these problems ahead of time, would you have traded up to an MC-1? - No

4)Has there been any signal locking problems or other proplems you have experienced that are frequent enough to "get under your skin"? - No. I had more trouble locking on to signals with my DC-1 than the MC-1. I have yet to experience any problems with my MC-1.

5)Do you recommend the MC-1? - Yes, provided you are a serious home theater enthusiast and especially if you have a DC-1, and like it.
