Unqualified YES!

:2)For those who traded up from a DC-1. In your experience has it been a worthwhile upgrade? Sonic benefit cearly worth the added cost ($2,500)?

Of course whether the upgrade is worth $2,500 is subjective. Frankly, it's hard to put a dollar value on an improvement on sound, but it might make it less questionable if you also consider the worth of the fact that the MC-1 may have a more upgradeable hardware architecture. I consider the upgrade as an investment from that perpective, since I expect that incremental upgrade costs to handle future developements may be reduced, although there certainly can be no guarantee of that. But I do think that the upgrade is worth it for the sonic improvement alone. It is noticeable on all material, music and video, but as a music lover, that is where I value it the most.

:3)Any major dissapointments? If you had known of these problems ahead of time, would you have traded up to an MC-1?

None.

:4)Has there been any signal locking problems or other proplems you have experienced that are frequent enough to "get under your skin"?

None.

:5)Do you recommend the MC-1?

Unqualified YES!
