DC1 V3 Distance betwenn Sides and Rears

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98; c_commcd1):

My side speakers are to the sides of my seating approximately 8ft above seating angled towards TV. (mounted about 11ft apart) I am adding rears and would like to know the distance required between the rears and sides for best sound. My rears will be placed on stands which hight would be approximatedly 3ft. Please inform on your experiences.
