:As a general rule, when I get a product that doesn't work right out of the box, I take it back. That's what I'm doing with this MC-1. I agree that it's almost certainly not a bug. It's a defective unit. You may be right that the defect is easily remediable, but I'm not willing to invest any more time into this particular unit, particularly when I've got a working DC-1 that still sounds pretty darn good.Michael: I don't blame you. Seems like you're taking the right course: Let it be Lexicon's problem, not yours. I'm due to get my MC-1 a week from Tuesday (a total four-week wait). Don't know what to expect, in light of several instances posted here of performance problems. I won't be in such an advantageous position, as you, however, since I don't believe I will be able to convince my dealer that I should keep my DC-1 until I see if the MC-1 is trouble-free. Lexicon, I'm told will be Johnny-on-the-spot, but it's the hassle of waiting for a replacement. I'm sure there will be people responding to this posting that I have nothing much to worry about. Easy to say! Don
