MC-1 trade-up

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; Windows 98; DigExt; NetCaptor 5.0):

Is it standard policy to ship your DC-1 to Lexicon before they will send out the new MC-1?

I see others here have had their DC-1 while waiting for the MC-1. What's Lexicon's official policy? And will the MC-1 ship immediately upon receipt of the DC-1?
