Small room and Logic 7?
Posted by Matt Hapgood [IP: 168.175.254.61] on June 28, 1999 at 13:56:38 After reading Daniel Sun's post, my curiosity about Logic 7 and a small room has peaked. I have a VERY small home theater room (it doubles as a small den) with Paradigm Reference 450's for fronts, center and surrounds. The fronts are, unfortunately, located in bookshelfs. The surrounds are mounted on the wall directly to the sides of the listener. The room is only 12 x 9. The seating area is only about 18 inches from the back wall. Does it make any sense to add rear speakers for full Logic 7? I have some decent speakers (older ADS) and could buy an A/B switch to drive them (the amp would be used for either zone two or switch to input from MC-1 Logic 7 output to rears). If I were to add rear speakers, at what level should they be (if I put them at ear level, they would either be 12" behind my head, or in the corner of the room about 2 1/2 feet behind the bipole side speakers). BTW - I am 95% home theater in this room, virtually no music. Thanks for any insight... Matt
