When a DC-2 with Dolby Surround EX ?

Using Mozilla/4.04 [en] (Win95; I):

Because I intend to purchase soon a DC-2 (prologic / THX / Dolby Digital but NO DTS)I would like to know when the Dolby Surround EX implementation is really expected to be available ?

Will this imply a software modification ONLY or some minimal hardware as well ?

I own a CP3 (well, it's JBL's version SDP-1).I suppose that I can't benefit of any trade-in program for the DC-2 (FYI, moreover I live in France)

Thanks for any info official or "less official"
