No response to my Logic 7 in a small room?

Using Mozilla/4.08 [en] (WinNT; I ;Nav) via NetCache version 3.1.2cP3-Solaris:

I'll shorten the question in hopes of getting feedback. What amount of separation between side and rear speakers would be minimum to benefit from adding rear speakers? What would be a minimum distance for the rear speakers to my ear? My current sides are Paradigm 450 bipoles.
