Bass Enhancement for Aerials

I'm not sure that's exactly what he said. Lexicon says the biggest impact of Bass Enhance is in the 40-120 Hz region, so you'd want surrounds with extension at least down to the 40 Hz crossover. But that doesn't mean you can't get additional benefits from full range bass extension, as there is information below 40 hz.

: Using smaller side subs is appealing to me, since I'm a little cramped on the sides. (My side M&K Tripoles are hanging from beams and angled toward the listening area.)

If you're going to the trouble of adding side subs, why not go all the way down rather than just to 40? In the M&K line, the little VX-100 is a very promising candidate for this.

I'm also looking forward to Stuart's impressions of the new REL Q200E.
