24/96 inputs on MC-1

Posted by Sam Gubernick [IP: 153.35.154.66] on June 30, 1999 at 22:58:48
Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 5.0; MSN 2.5; Windows 98):

The owners manual for the MC-1 states that DVD players that output a full 24/96 digital signal can be input into the expansion port on the MC-1. I haven't been able to get any reliable information as to which DVD players have this feature. I guess that would mean that they haven't succomed to the pressures from the software suppliers.

Since I've been reading this forum for a least six months but this is my first meaasge, I'll identify my system:
MC-1 which was a trade up from DC-1 AC3 model (what a difference! - thank you Lexicon), Krell KAV 500, B&W Nautilus 802's in the front, B&W Matrix 805's in the rear, and Matrix HTM up front. The only klunker is a Velodyne F1800R which needs to be replaced with a more subtle and musical sub.
