24/96 inputs on MC-1

No DVD-Video player should output 24-bit 96kHz material digitally, it defies the content protection portion of the DVD-V specifications. Internal 24-bit 96kHz DACs are fine, with the signal emitted via the analogue outputs, but digital is a no-no. However, naughty old Pioneer are flouting this rule. All their current DVD-Video machines can output 24-bit 96kHz digitally. The high-end machines that use Pioneer transports also output what is 'illegal' data.
