:Only thing I miss on the 919 is that there is no jog and shuttle on the control and I can't figure out how to get my Pronto to learn the IR command to go slow-mo (composite time-delayed IR transmission it seems).

So the jog/shuttle is on the unit or doesn't it have one? Pioneer is notorious for having dificult to learn IR commands. Most Pioneer remotes have an output frequency that is too high for the Pronto to learn. Fortunately, there are 3 workarounds: (1) teach the Pioneer remote commands to a different remote and then use that remote to teach the Pronto (this almost always works), (2) get an older Pioneer remote that uses the old low frequency commands (that also always work with all Pioneer units), or (3) check out the databases at remotecentral.com or prontoedit.com as there will almost certainly be a working CCF file for your player there for download.
