NEWS FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Lexicon's ground breaking new trade-in deal banishes the fear of built-in obsolescence forever.

Tockwith, York, July 1999: Many thousands of home cinema owners around the country would love to upgrade their old integrated AN amplifier or receiver to the sound and operational intelligence of a state-of-the-art processor from Lexicon. But the prospect of writing-off the original cost of their equipment invariably prevents them getting what they want. The best trade-in deals usually amount to a derisory percentage of the original purchase price, so the true cost of obsolescence combined with that of the new purchase makes upgrading a prohibitively expensive process.

In conjunction with its UK distributor, CSE, Lexicon is pleased to announce an unprecedented new deal for UK consumers, which removes this dilemma altogether. Until further notice:

  • All Lexicon dealers will reimburse 50% of the original purchase price of any Dolby Pro Logic amplifier/receiver against the price of a new Lexicon DC-2 processor.
  • All Lexicon dealers will reimburse 60% of the original purchase price of any THX certified amplifier/receiver against the price of a new Lexicon DC-2 processor.
  • All Lexicon dealers will reimburse 70% of the original purchase price of any Dolby Digital amplifier/receiver against the price of a new Lexicon DC-2 processor up to a maximum of £1,200.
  • Trade-in terms on stand-alone processors will be evaluated individually.

Lexicon asks that the trade-in products be in good working order with instruction manuals and remote control handsets. No other Company has done more to simplify the upgrade path for its customers. Its enlightened approach guarantees the future value of all Lexicon products through inexpensive upgrades and imaginative trade-in terms. For example, upgrades to the newest surround sound format, Dolby EX 6.1, will be available shortly, as Lexicon will be the first manufacturer to demonstrate a home processor with EX on-board at the CEDIA EXPO in Indianapolis 22nd -26th September 1999.

Thanks to this new and uniquely inclusive trade-in deal, Lexicon can provide future-proof state-of-the-art processing and peace of mind to all A/V aficionados without the onerous cost of obsolescence.
