I've seen it done, Bart somehow pulled the trigger terminal block away from the MC-1 during a CEDIA seminar, but it's not something I have tried myself.

As it happens, my MC-1 is currently redundant, replaced by an ADA Cinema Reference (don't ask) so tomorrow I'll snap a couple of photographs for you, one without the trigger block and one with… then you'll be able to figure out if you have one or not. ;-)
