DC-1 Phantom Center?

In case anyone is wondering about my questions, I do run the front left,right and center as large and run into my Bar End Infrasub 18 for high passing back to my three front speakers. My config is set to NO sub because of this.

AS to the use of the center speaker, my Gallo Reference are 8 feet into the room and I sit just 9 feet from them. Having that Martian eyeball center so close is visually distracting. Behind the speakers is a wall full of lush floor and hanging plants, as well as art work. I much prefer to have them in my line of sight. I do use the center for video.
I use the phantom center with my current Circle Surround, which is being replaced by the Lexicon, I find no difference in the sound with the center on or off in the sweet spot in this arrangement. Hopefully, the Lexicon phantom center will be just as effective.
