DC-1 Phantom Center?

Thanks, Chris. Believe me that I would ust the center if it were necessary. But my Gallos are only 8 feet apart and there is no hole whatsoever in the soundstage. And the Solo center is a seamless match for the Reference left,right.

No doubt, the Lexicon works seamless wonders when using all the speakers involved. I'm counting on it performing likewise without the center for music.
With my current system (Circle Surround plus Gallos), I've had the center turned on and off (no audible click not change in volume level) while I sat with my eyes closed. I could never hear any difference and never knew whether the center was on or off.
My room is such that I have very assymetrical seating. When I moved the speakers 10-11 feet apart, I did use the center to fill the hole, but imaging was offset due to seating problem. Thus the eight foot apart distance works best for me, and thus, there is no hole when not using the center.
I use it for video because there is no view other than the picture.
