I have the LDD1 and it comes with the trigger cord so I am not sure where to get one other than Lex if you don't have it. As for the switching, it is automatic. I have seen the switch but I think that is for manual operations. I have both Optical and Coax hooked up to mine and have never touched the unit since I plugged it in. It automatically senses the live input and uses that.
