LDD-1 problem

yes i am using the ac-3 rf output of
my ld player but the ldd-1 does not
lock onto it. if i hook my ld player to
my old pioneer amp (with internal rf
demodulator) it works fine.
i also tried different cables.
any more thoughts ?
