Will,

Setting up an HT is fairly complex and I have found that when things don't seem to make sense it is time to get back to basics.

Start by setting all crossovers and limiters to off (just until things get right of course) and set your speakers to full range if applicable.

Then channel by channel setup your levels, the Lex 7 channel test tone is 1KHz +/- 1KHz so there is a chance that room response could affect your settings. Use an RTA and wideband pink noise to see if that is the case, or use a test DVD/CD with 1/3rd Octave pink noise and plot your room response for each channel.

Then enable the sub and set the levels so it blends in (use a 1 or 2 Octave pink noise instead of a single frequency) and set all channels to small that can't handle lower frequencies and test to make sure all is ok.

Then adjust the sub limiter to protect the sub from overload if necessary.

Good Luck, Don
