I've got a number of DTS CDs and fixing this "shifting" problem would eliminate a very annoying situation. It is so bad that I just don't use bass enhance when I play DTS CDs.

I've had my MC-1 about five weeks and, so far, I've not encountered the infamous digital lockup. (I've got my fingers crossed, however.) I do experience a freezing of the image for a second or so when the DVD shifts to the second layer -- and I hold my breath, thinking 'this is it.' This hesitation never happened with the DC-1.
