LEX. DC-2 vs. B&K REF 20

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

I've been told that the B&K has a pre-amp section superior to the DC-2, and that the dolby digital performance of the ref 20 is just as good as the Dc-2. I realize this is a salesman talking, so I was hoping some knowledgable and unbiased invidual on this forum could either agree to this or dispell it as nonsense. I am about to make a purchase and would appreciate the guidance.
