Anthony:

I don't have my MC-1 yet, so I can't comment on A.) or B.).

As far as accessing Mono Logic for DVD,
I too use my analog outputs. But, I hate the sound of my Pioneer's internal DAC's. They make an already thin mono soundtrack sound even worse.

As much as I revere Lexicon's products, I was hugely disappointed about their decision to not include 48k capabilities in the new MC-1 for their older effects.I really feel that they missed the boat on this one.

I still have not gotten an answer to my post on 8/20 (48k for Lex's "older" effects) asking if there were plans for an upgrade to 48k for the MC-1. Unfortunately, by Lexicon's non-response to the question, I am assuming that their are no such plans.

Is anybody from Lex listening? Please tell me, are there any plans to offer an upgrade to the MC-1 for 48k capability? I'll bet Lexicon would sell 10 times as many of these upgrades as they do of their other less useful ones, such as Surround EX.

Aside from these criticisms, I still feel that Lexicon produces the best processors in the world along with the best factory support. This, combined with a fantastic policy of allowing customers to continually trade-up sets Lexicon apart from the vast majority of home theatre manufacturers. And, for these and other reasons they should be commended.

Regards,
Doug
