DC-2 vs. DC-1 v3.1

Using Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 4.01; Windows 98):

I am a two channel stereo enthusiast as well as a home theater junkie. I would say I am 50/50. Is the DC-2 any better on two channel stereo than the DC-1 with the v3.1 upgrade? Also, why would I buy the DC-2 instead of a v3.1 DC-1?
