DC-2 vs. DC-1 v3.1

How many double-blind comparisons have *you* conducted, on what gear and with what A/B switching equipment (which itself has been shown to mask difference and steer results towards the null hypothesis)? If you would care to furnish such findings regarding the DC-2, we owners on this informal forum would be interested to read and factor it into our evaluations. But to assert the negative, that no opinion is valid without such data to back it up, is trying to limit the discussion field to pure objectivist dogma. This war has raged pointlessly and quite destructively through the audio newsgroups. In case you hadn't noticed, this is a place for people to express their subjective impressions as well. The portion of my post you conveniently omitted (which I repeated in another post as well) was the recommendation the prospective buyer listen first hand and critically to the equipment he is considering. Personally, I would base a purchasing decision on those results over any third party evaluation, whether they're based on double-blind testing or not. Cheers,
