Shawn,

I'm unable to comment about the DC-2 because I've never seen or heard one, but I have had the DC-1 and now the MC-1. Presumably the DC-2 falls somewhere between the two of them, perhaps closer to the MC-1 in performance.

My comparison of the DC-1 and MC-1 has not been of the A-B, switch back and forth type, but merely having lived with the DC-1 for some time, and then changing to the MC-1 and listening to it for some time. Forgetting that the MC-1 costs more, and is supposed to have better DACS and better preamp section,my opinion is that my system doesn't sound "way" better with the MC-1 than the DC-1 as it's heart, but "wee" better. Nevertheless, that is substantial because it generally takes a lot to get any incremental improvement in performance at this level.

Having stated that, I'll add that I think that A-B (at least)single blind testing is the only way to really satisfy oneself that one piece of quality equipment is truly preferred over another, without the bias of expectation that the other gentleman so eloquently stated.

Michael
