MC-1 Questions

Back panel looks like it is audio only, but maybe using the record outputs ... The Zone 2 output is ganged together with the Record outs, so you could route the video via one of the video record outs. 2 - I have a Krell KRC preamp - any (good) way to use with MC-1, or should I sell it? (Hate to give up balanced Althought the Krell is no doubt an excellent preamp, using the MC-1 as the front end will give the best results. Integrating a separate preamp means adding extra stages fo D/A conversion, an exta volume control, and additional cables in the signal path. Your best bet is routing your sources (preferably digital outputs) directly into the MC-1. As far as the balanced connections go, there is no real benefit when running standard cable lengths, i.e.,less than 80 feet. There are lengthy discussions of this elsewhere on this site, so I will refrain from going into all the details here. 3 - Dealer recommended Proceed (Madrigal) processor (don't remember model but approx $5000 which has balanced inputs/outputs) - any experience good or bad with this piece - or industry comparisons? Proceed makes excellent products. This question would be better answered by other members of this forum. I hope this helps. let me know if you have further questions. Bart LoPiccolo
