Use BASS on the sides and NO LFE??

Simply put, you have a choice. If you NEVER listen to 2-channel, put your existing two subs on the side channels, configure sub to 'none', fronts/center/rears as small and sides as large and you're set. If you DO listen to 2-channel, you will need to buy another sub and place it on the LFE sub out. This is because in 2-channel the side speakers are turned off and therefore the side subs are getting no signal. So you need to have a sub on the 'sub out' channel so that it will play the bass for the fronts when you are listening to stereo. Simple. Your choice. I have another system for stereo, but I am still going the three sub route because I like to have full flexibility. Some are using really small subs for easy placement on the sides but they still need a big low frequency sub on the LFE to get the room shaking. Hope this clears it up. Josh
